2018 SUMMER CAMP
Urban Strings 2018 Summer Camp, June 4 - June 8
ELIGIBILITY: For students entering grades 4-12 during the 2018-2019 school year, with at least one year of playing experience on their instrument.
ABILITY LEVEL: This program is designed to meet the needs of musicians who have had varying levels of training. (Suzuki students, students in school orchestra, students taking private lessons, students participating in other ensembles). Musicians will be placed in summer camp based on skill level.
AUDITION: Auditions will take place at Mount Vernon AME Church, 1127 Mount Vernon Avenue, Saturday, May 20th from 8a-10a and Saturday, May 27th from 8a-10a. Musicians should prepare for 2 scales of choice, a solo piece and will be asked to sight-read. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an audition time.
CAMP FEE: $175. A $25.00 will serve as a deposit for the camp. The $150 balance is due by the first day of camp (June 4th) which includes Tuition and T-shirt. 2 or more siblings are half the regular price ($87.50)
WARDROBE: Matinee Concert - Please wear jeans & camp t-shirts will be distributed, Finale Concert - White tops, Black Bottoms
FOOD: Musicians must provide their own lunch Monday-Thursday. Friday lunch will be provided

Want to Donate?
Your donations go to musicians in need. Scholarships are awarded to dedicated string players with limited means to support the development of musical skills. We also accept donated violins, violas, cellos, and basses that help musicians who may not be able to afford a stringed instrument. Donate ›
